The specialists at PVS are leaders in their fields. Part of leadership is community service to the profession. At the annual meeting of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Surgeons (ANZCVS) in QLD last week, several PVS specialists were elected to positions of leadership in the organization.
Dr Mandy Burrows is now the President of the College; Dr Zoe Lenard was elected as a Councillor. Both roles will look at stakeholder engagement and strategic planning for the College.
Dr Ken Wyatt is now the president of the Oncology Chapter, and Dr Belinda Hopper is the president of the Radiology Chapter, roles that require development of the annual conference program, organisation of processes for membership and fellowship examinations.
All of these roles are voluntary, highlighting the extent that PVS specialists are engaged with the ANZCVS and the veterinary profession. We congratulate our vets on their election and thank them for the ongoing leadership they provide.
