Dr Zoe Lenard has recently become the President of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Surgeons (ANZCVS).
The ANZCVS benchmarks excellence by running the Fellowship examinations, which allows for formal recognition that a vet has reached the level of specialist. PVS has two new specialists this year (Dr Jess Finlay in Oncology and Dr Fiona Sholz in Dermatology) and most of the specialists who work at PVS are Fellows of the College.
The ANZCVS also provides a benchmarking examination for general practice called a Membership examination, which demonstrates a level of excellence at the level of practitioner that can only be attained after several years of experience. Our emergency vets Dr Louise Jordan and Dr Michelle Low are Members of the ANZCVS.
The ANZCVS has over 3500 members, located around the world (predominantly in Australia and New Zealand). It is a rapidly growing and dynamic organization and Dr Lenard is honored to be leading it as Chair of the Board for the next two years. Dr Lenard has served the ANZCVS for 13 years in various roles, including a President of the Radiology Chapter and as a member of the Board of Examiners.
