We first saw Leroy as a puppy. He was so itchy that he was even scratching in consult with us. At home, he would stop to scratch during playtime and it was affecting his daily life. After ruling out a food allergy due with an elimination diet, we performed intradermal allergy testing and found that Leroy is highly allergic to almost all tree, weed and grass pollens that we test for.
Using Leroy’s test results, we formulated an immunotherapy vaccine for Leroy and showed his owners how to give the injections at home. The combination of the vaccine, a management plan including bathing and anti-itch medication, help Leroy lead a much less itchy life!
